This whole experience made me discover new hobbies during this time and has encouraged me to want to film and edit more videos in the future. This specific video is a Lookbook of different ways on how to style an outfit and brings some inspiring entertainment for chilling at home or future ideas for what people can wear during activities after quarantine. I have always admired fashion videos such as these; therefore, for this project, I thought I would recreate my own version with inspirations from influencers such as Tessa Brooks and Pia Muehlenbeck. Once I had my idea for this project, I started combining different looks, from a college student perspective, of what girls might wear after quarantine. I decided to do 3 styles paired with a natural makeup look for everyday wear or inspiration for up and coming internships. The other 3 styles are a more outgoing style paired with a bold red lip for any bigger events. I filmed and edited the 2 styles separately and then place them together after both were fully edited. I decided to edit on the latest app that is going viral, Tik Tok, because I knew it had amazing effects and transitions that are easy to work with. After selecting specific parts I wanted to be shown in the video, I blended the clips together and added special effects, transitions, and a slight filter to give an added effect to the whole video. With the second style, I did the same editing so it combined nicely and finally transported the 2 films into iMovie to put into one video with audio in the background. Overall, I’m pleased with how my first attempt came out and I learned a lot about what it takes to make an eye-catching film. In the future, I hope to make more videos like this one and take what I liked and dislike and incorporate it into new projects.
