How to Cope with Cabin Fever

Cabin fever is one of the main issue that has been hard to overcome during quarantine. With little interaction and waking up with a purpose for the day is hard to continue that day and stay productive. Motivation to me is based on my morals, influencers, locations, dreams, and more; however, since I am stuck in quarantine a lot of stuff I took for granted has taken some of my motivation away to help me finish tasks. Nevertheless, things I’ve found to help me through these times is simply calling or FaceTiming my friends to still keep a connection and interaction with other people by hearing about their day and know I’m not alone. Another trick is to find a way to take some time for yourself to get some Vitamin D by walking outside for a second to get some fresh air. It’s not good to keep yourself in a locked room all day because your mental and physical health suffers in the long run, therefore by just sitting outside helps rejuvenate the body and mind to have an optimistic view to keep going.

How To Cope With Stir Crazy

Being stuck in quarantine brings more attention to me reflected about myself and where I am at mentally. Sometimes, with the massive amount of free time and not a lot of human interaction, it causes me to overthink small situations and has me forgetting about the picture. With that being said, no matter what happens I always try to look at a scenario in a positive and optimistic view on to keep me going and discover new things about myself such as creative hobbies. Keeping myself occupied with small tasks everyday helps me get through each day without feeling like I have waisted time. I believe everyone should still stick to a similar schedule as they did before because it keeps you mentally better, and once quarantine is over it won’t be hard to jump back to your usual schedule. Furthermore, your mindset is the first set into coping with stir crazy; therefore, really take this time and appreciate yourself, reflect on your accomplishments, set new future goals, and self care both mentally and physically.

Scene Review | Bandersnatch

In this specific scene, the main character is experiencing a creative block on trying to figure out the mistakes and ending to his video game before the due date. If the audience chooses to go speak with Colin, who’s another content creator for games, he opens his eyes to the real world of how life is not what they seem to be. Colin has been in this industry for a while which has given him the opportunity to experience all of the trauma by learning how to adapt to the thought that he’s not the one behind his choices and actions, and within the second dimension there’s another chance to living his life over again just like how cats have nine lives. It’s crazy to comprehend this information, therefore Colin advises him to take a drug to better understand the situation that he is and will continue experiencing. Within this scene, it plays a chiming and hypnotic sounds as Colin speaks the truth and the main character tries to get a grip of his vision. However, what seems to be still life objects have now been moved around like a painting and strokes of neon lights flash every now and then to give more of an effect to the entire scene for intensity. Overall, this scene was executed very well to capture the illusion of what the main character was seeing and how Colin is dictating these thoughts through his speech.

Film Review | Bandersnatch

This mind playing movie has the audience involved as they go through life in the eyes of the main character as he tries to complete a new video game; however, his choices are being controlled which causes him to lash out. This movie is featured on Netflix and is produced by the makers from Black Mirror who are known to have mind blogging plots that relate to everyday life. What’s makes this movie so intricate from other movies is that the audience has to make the main character’s decisions in life and based off of those decisions the main character has to follow them no matter what. The audience is given two options and you’re given 10 seconds to respond, if not the movie will decide for you and continue on. As the movie goes on, the main character’s intuition has the feeling that his choices are being controlled and starts to go psychotic. Bandersnatch did an excellent job at executing the editing to this movie because they have the audience feeling like they are the ones editing the scenes to try to get the outcome they want. Throughout the movie, there are hints and characters that give the character some guidence and a reality check to what the “real world” is.

TED Talk | Living Randomly

Max Hawkins defiantly takes a different approach to how people usually live a “normal lifestyle”. For the past 2 years he had different generators create his plans and choices for anything such as hotels, transportation, etc. In some ways, this random lifestyle would be intriguing if you didn’t know what to choose and it gives you a chance to experience things out of your comfort zone to see a lifestyle through a different perspective. Today, people like to be organized and know exactly what’s happening in their life so they don’t get off track or forget something important. However, every now and then it’s okay to live spontaneous and go outside your comfort zone to experience something you never thought you would do.

Better Than Sliced Bread

Little Caesars took a classic metaphor and turned it into a comical commercial on how Little Caesars newest product has risen above and taken over the bread business. As a result, the company scrambles to find new ideas fast, but it slowly turns to chaos as the company is getting defeated by the amazing outcome of Little Caesars new product. As a conclusion, they repeat the delivery scene of the product with the CEO of the bread business as the new employee of Little Caesars. If you can’t beat them, join them.

How Deep Can A Deep-fake Get Before It Gets Personal

In some ways technology, such as deep-fake, can be used to create intriguing videos that can make people smile and laugh; however, in this case the power of technology has been taken too far to where it can ruin a person’s reputation and career. In this video it shows Obama stating certain phrases that he would never say, yet it looks too realistic through the power of technology that it can really damage Obama’s career if not addressed in the correct way to cancel all false facts.
